REMOVALS : PACKING.

As usual its all about size, and when moving size IS crucial.

=Well sir, it looks to me that you have about forty five cubic metres here, but I ll have to get back to the office to approve that =Ah = but the last company told me I had 1365 feet. The cause of this being that boxes on ships do move about and damage to contents isn't unusual. All too commonly a box is picked up and the contents quickly fall thru the bottom. 'Hello I am moving to France are you able to give me a quote to ship my furniture please?' A simple phrase that will regularly lead to clumps of hair being pulled from the roots, cardiac arrests ( on getting the quotes ) and sleepless nights worrying about scratches on the dining room table. BUT furniture is still carried down flights of steps and still placed on varied forms of transport and moved from A to B Why then has it all got so difficult and by extension, so dear, particularly for ECU moves? So you have purchased your home in the sun and decide to contact a removal company. 10 calls later you are wondering why 1/2 the corporations you call don't do Europe and why the other half have utterly misunderstood your enquiry and are giving you quotes that would allow you to get a 3rd home in Romania. Not only do the quotes appear large but the one low quote you have got appears so low that now you are concerned that there is a thing wrong with the company. But why do you ask are there such variations in the quotes you do get? In Apr this year we acted for a family moving from South Wales to near Bergerac. However one of the firms reported recently to us that on arrival at a clients house each room was tidily stacked with boxes. The clients seemed to be terribly well organised and all the boxes were numbered and all sealed.
